SERVICES

Boarding
Chatham Farm provides exceptional horse care to every horse from very expensive show horses to retirees – everyone is welcome. Personalized care and attention to detail enables our boarders to relax and enjoy the time spent with their horses. CF’s owners, Kat and Tony Bohman live on the farm property, and Kat has over 26 years experience owning, boarding and riding horses. She had 4 years experience running her family’s small horse farm while she was in college. Top quality Purina and Carney feeds, leafy alfalfa/timothy/grass hay, lush Ohio pastures make for happy, healthy horses.

Amenities:

1. Three stall barns, 2 of which are connected to the indoor arena
2. 43 horse stalls, ranging from 10x12 to 10x20
3. Two hot/cold water wash stalls
4. Four aisle grooming areas (w/ cross ties)
5. Three heated tack rooms with alarm security
6. Secured grain room
7. Women’s and Unisex restrooms (women’s has 2 stalls, unisex’s has shower stall)
8. Horse laundry facilities in lounge
9. Ample four-board fenced pastures on over 25 acres
10. Large outdoor arena with all-weather sand footing and excellent lighting for night riding/jumping
11. Small dressage arena with all-weather sand footing
12. Large grass outdoor arena with moderate lighting
13. Expansive 180’x100’ indoor arena with all-weather sand footing and climate-controlled observation area
14. Full kitchen and lounge in observation area

CF offers two levels of monthly board: Standard Full Care and Premium Care. Standard Full Care and Premium Care board are billed at a flat rate, and additional services are available a la carte (price list available upon request). Premium care board offers the highest level of excellence in care and includes many additional services for you and your horse.

  1. Standard Full Care Board: $650 monthly ($700 if paid after the 1st)
    Standard level services include rental of a safe stall cleaned once daily, grain twice daily, hay 2-4 times daily (2 regular feedings plus lunch/night check hay when stalled during lunchtime/overnight), access to fresh water both in the stall and in the field, daily group turnout, winter blanketing, fly spray, paste dewormer at eight-week intervals, personal tack trunk space in designated aisle areas, personal tack space in secured tack room, free horse trailer parking and use of CF’s facilities including washer and dryer.   2. Premium Care Board: $800 monthly ($850 if paid after the 1st)
    Premium level services include everything covered by Standard Full Care Board plus optional private/semi-private turnout, hoof picking/leg hosing after turnout, free time in indoor during stall-bound times caused by inclement weather, summer fly sheet application/removal for turnout (if desired), application of protective boots for turnout (if desired), optional weekly bran mashes, laundry servicing, wrapping/unwrapping, waived horse holding fees for standard services such as farrier and vet appointments with prior notice during posted hours, and personal tack trunk space in secured tack room. Daily Board Rate: $35 per day
a. This rate is for horses that come in for short-term/temporary boarding or board for less than one month.

Trailer-In Rate: $25 per horse
a. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance and will be granted on a very limited case by case basis.
b. This rate is for horses that come in for up to 3-hour use of the arena(s), includes bedded stall in midbarn area, access to fresh water, and cleaning of stall upon departure. Use of crossties is limited to wash stall in midbarn area.

Board Payment and Late Fees
a. Timely payment rate applied when payment is received by 8 pm. in the appropriate payment box in the barn the first day of each month. See Rate Sheet for details.
b. $5/day late fee for board payments received after 8 pm. after the 5th calendar day of each month
c. Bounced check fee is $50.
d. A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF ONE MONTH’S BOARD IS DUE UPON COMMENCEMENT OF A BOARDING CONTRACT
